Our story
It started with a plain sock
The Sox Club began when we got involved in the design and making of socks. A sock looks like the simplest garment going. It is far from it. Everything counts, from the materials to the construction to the pattern, and the more we learned, the more we noticed.
At some point the obvious thought arrived: why not start our own brand, with good everyday socks that are comfortable and have a little personality?
The pair we measure against
One of us had a favourite pair in the colours of their football team, and wore them for years without once thinking about them. That is the standard we set ourselves. A sock should be so comfortable and so well made that you forget you have it on.
A little personality
Dress codes have loosened. Few of us wear a suit every day now, which makes socks one of the easiest places to show a bit of yourself. Something bold, or just a bit different, is a quiet nod to your own style. So the patterns are clean and nothing is novelty, and they are easy to wear with real clothes.
Pushing the specification
Choosing the yarn and the toe tested us. We would love to say we made the best socks in the world, but they would not be everyday socks at a sensible price. So we pushed the specification as hard as we could while keeping it affordable.
That means compact cotton, combed cotton with an extra compacting step for a smoother, stronger yarn, and nylon-covered spandex that springs back into shape. We also pushed hard to get a Rosso-linked toe, a flat, low-bulk seam, so your toes stay comfortable all day.
Who is behind it
The Sox Club is new, and it sits inside the Eraa group, established 1987. We say what is in the sock, we keep the claims small, and we let you judge.
