Privacy and cookies
Short version: we use analytics to see how the site is used, we use no marketing cookies, and we only use your email for the reason you gave it to us.
Draft wording, to be checked before launch.
Who we are
The Sox Club is a trading name of Eraa (U.K.) Ltd, which is the data controller for this site. Our registered office is Unit G6 (SF Reception), 1-4 Enterprise Way, Burnley, Lancashire, BB12 6LT, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@thesoxclub.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand how people use the site, so that we can make it better: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. They may set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and how you move around a page. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Neither tool loads until you press Accept on the cookie banner. This is what the site stores on your device:
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|

| _ga | Google Analytics | Counts visits, only if you accept. | 2 years |
| _ga_EFQC50ST4D | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a visit, only if you accept. | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart for a day, only if you accept. | 1 day |

The register-interest form
If you register interest in the Club, we collect your email address, and your first name, preferred plan and message if you choose to give them. We use them only to tell you about the Club, and to understand which plans people want. The form is protected by a hidden field rather than a CAPTCHA, so no third-party puzzle service is involved.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by pressing the Join the Club button after reading the sentence about this notice under the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will remove you from the list.
How long we keep your details
We keep your details until the Club launches and we have contacted you, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email us to do any of these. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this page
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page.
